After the last LAN I had a major power problem that took out half of the garage and my air conditioning in the house. I've finally got some one coming to fix my power and we should be gaming again! Bear with me till the repairs are done! -Chester Crysis A next-generation project by CryTek, makers of the FPS Far Cry. This game is running on the new CryENGINE 2 technology. The game is one of the the first announced to run on the advanced DirectX 10 architecture. Set in 2019 after a colossal asteroid crashes to Earth, Crysis begins in a tense military standoff between the North Korean and United States governments for control of the impact zone. Amid rising tensions, the asteroid suddenly bursts open revealing a massive alien ship, which begins freezing vast portions of the island and altering the global weather system. The invasion of Earth has begun. Crysis features an epic three-act story of alien invasion where players are able to customize their armor and weapons in real time to confront an ever-changing enemy and a harsh, dynamic environment. Battlefield 2142 The year is 2142, and the dawn of a new ice age has thrown the world into a panic. The math is simple and brutal: The soil not covered by ice can only feed a fraction of the Earth's population. Some will live, most will die. Players will choose to fight for one of two military superpowers in an epic battle for survival, the European Union or the newly formed Pan Asian Coalition. Armed with a devastating arsenal of hi-tech assault rifles, cloaking devices and sentry guns, players will also do battle using some of the most imposing vehicles known to man. Massive battle Mechs wage fierce combat on the ground, while futuristic aircraft rule the skies. When facing one of these new behemoths, players will need to use their wits and an arsenal of new countermeasures like EMP grenades to level the playing field. Also Available online through EA's downloader service, Battlefield 2: Armored Fury is a booster pack for the multiplayer shooter Battlefield 2. Battlefield 2: Armored Fury adds three new maps, all set in the rural heartland of America where the US forces defend their homeland from Chinese and MEC forces. This Booster Pack will also introduce two new vehicle classes: Attack Jets with the ability to use rocket pods and cluster bombs, and agile Scout Choppers which will reveal nearby enemies. "Midnight Sun" takes place on the Alaskan border, where Chinese forces make landfall. "Operation Harvest" will take the player to the vast open plains of Pennsylvania where only the expert use of air and armor will assure victory. "Operation Road Rage" sees all-out tank warfare on the freeways of America. Saturday September 10th I'm back

MONSTER TRUCK RACING The Next LAN will probably be on the 8th of January. Chester Half Life 2 is awesome! It starts out kind of slow but
it ramps up to very cool game play. Counter Strike: Source has renewed my interest in CS (as if I had one before). It really plays nicely and is rather easy to play. 7000 visits! I know it doesn't seem like much but hey that's great to me
and my little web site. CLICK HERE TO VIEW ALL THE SPONSORS AND SEND E-MAILS The conclusion: More Pictures up check them out HatLAN Pictures Well its come and gone the HatLAN Birthdays are behind
us. I have to say that this was one of, if not the best LAN Party that
I've ever been too, if I do say so myself. It was so much fun getting
all these geeks together for these Birthdays and it was nice seeing all
the old faces (not yours Ralph). Since I'm mentioning geeks
there were a few that didn't show up that should have been there. I wont
mention names but I will put letters Ha*, and Lurc* and a few others. You know
who you are, well all I can say is that if you missed it you missed one hell of a good
party!
Now you might be asking what made it so much fun? Well
for me it was seeing these guys, trying to kick there butts and
consuming mass quantities of junk food, soda, and pizza. Oh and of course
handing out all kinds of great hardware, shirts, posters, Bawls and
other goodies. This party was made very special buy all the cool
sponsors that stepped up and helped these old farts have the best party I
think they've had in a very long time! We ended up with about 45-55 total gamers and
spectators. We had a couple tournaments, the biggest of which was 20 vs.
20 that ended up being a tie after 3 rounds of scoreless CTF, man those
were good games. The tournament was a winner take all for our sponsored
"Waffer Technology PC AirCon PAC 400", in the end we had to raffle them
off so we could get on to other games and more prizes. This party was extra nice for
me as I was the prize man and was able to hand out the booty to these
guys, I loved the looks on their faces, it
was a cross of man I want to win but man I don't want to get up there
and have my picture taken. With all the sponsors help everybody at the
LAN went home with something and that was the best possible thing for
me. DLink was the leader in helping us do that by sending everybody home
with a Gigabit Network card. Waffer Technology was also a very big
leader in making this party great by sending us 25 PC AirCon PAC 400, which we were trying to give to the
winners of the tournament. I really have to mention Waffer Technology as this
company bent over backwards to try and help us out. They were very
disappointed that they had to send us OEM boxes for the party instead of
retail boxes. They even went so far as to have bags made so that we
could give them out in them, but a shipping error sent the bags to
Israel buy mistake. The bags were then sent from Israel to the USA but
didn't arrive till Monday. I felt so bad, Amy from Waffer Technology worked so hard
to make this event great. I really want to thank her for all the help
and the phone call all the way from Taiwan to explain what had happened. Ralph and Mike both scored for their birthdays by both receiving an AMD Athlon 64 3800+ courtesy of AMD. I had almost forgot about the GIG of PC4200 memory that Centon Memory had sponsored since it had also not arrived so I felt it was a good idea to give it to Ralph to go with his new CPU, he's a geek he needs stuff like this. So I hope
everybody had a great time I know I did, I also want to thank Seth and
Phil for setting up the network and electricity and letting us use there
house for this big Birthday Bash (hope your ladies aren't still mad). I will have more reviews of the party and a ton more pictures up here soon so check back in a couple days. I want to thank each and every sponsor for making this a one of a kind party for these guys we couldn't have done it with out your support. -Chester HatLAN HatLan on 10/2/04 in Anaheim: 50 year birthdays with 50 players!

Any map suggestions click here The OC guys want to use a small MOD that wont change the game too much! All this is preliminary and some things may change I personally would like to try Revolt even aside from the challenge. Revolt's concept is simple, modern day weapons in fictional events based on real places. Weapons are balanced to
ensure an even playing field no matter the team.

Well it's come and gone, NEWEGG LANfest 2K4 is over. I think we all had a good time! I did, with lots of tournaments. lots of swag, and lots of BYOC gaming they pulled off a pretty good first time event. The BYOC area was pretty full and had lots games going on with all kinds of case mods you could find just about anything including a small shuttle case with water cooling on the video card... man whats next? The next event though they need to have some dedicated servers for the BYOC area so we don't play and serve at the same time, all these new games are just getting to be to much on a system. I was a little disappointed in the tournaments but by no fault of NEWEGG there just weren't enough gamers to fill the tournaments so they improvised and made up a few teams to fill the empty spots, which was cool because I got to play in 2 tournaments but also bad because I was on a total random team called MISMASH which I guess means "random team" The first tourney I was in was for "Call of Duty" and what do you think happened? WE GOT OWNED BILLY! My MISMASH team went up against a highly organized very efficient CLAN and got our buts kicked! The next Tourney was UT2K4 which I was doing very well in until the last 30 seconds in which I fell from 2nd to 4th by the hand of my arch rival Weiler when he TOTALLY LUCKED OUT and got a multi kill and knock me out of the running. Hey it was fun trying to kick Weilers ass and beat all these guys and I did pretty good so I was pretty happy with the whole LANfest experience and I will definitely go to the next one. Oh one more thing... The real highlight of the whole event was when Ralph "HatTriQk" Evans won a contest for OLDEST gamer! and in true HatTriQk style Ralph gladly stepped up to claim his prize for the eldest gamer in attendance. Way to go Ralph lets see if you can keep this thing going for anther 10 years! Oh and thanks for the ride! -Chester
Saturday Sponsor Is this guy picking his nose?
